The Vanity FAQ: Bridal + Makeup Artist Classes

Frequently Asked Questions

Bridal FAQ:

How early do I need to book before my wedding? We recommend that you book as soon as possible! Our bridal season is usually booked in full by the beginning of the season, so grab your date as soon as you can.

Do you travel to where I’m getting ready? Yes! Travel is always included in your bridal costs within the Albuquerque city limits. Travel to Santa Fe, Taos, and other surrounding areas will be an additional fee. Contact us for a quote!

Can you do more than just the bride? Absolutely! We can accommodate your entire bridal party, both hair and makeup, no matter how large or small. Make-up artist Noel Dalton arrives equipped with a team of professionals trained specifically for that purpose! If your party requires multiple assistants, an additional $75 fee will be applied per extra assistant needed.

Do you offer group rates for wedding parties? We do not offer group or day rates for weddings. Our prices are already very reasonable! You can view a full bridal price list here.

Make-Up Class FAQ:

Do I need to have experience to sign up for a class? Nope! We take every experience level. You just need a love for makeup!

Do you have an age requirement? Yes. You must be at least 16 years old with the consent of a parent.

Do I need a high school diploma to take your class? No. A high school diploma is not necessary to be eligible to enroll in classes. We get high school students all the time!

Do you get a certificate after the class? Yes. You receive a certificate of completion after the course. This certificate is not a license. The state of New Mexico does not recognize Makeup Artistry as a specific profession, therefore it doesn’t offer any licensure programs other than for Cosmetology or Esthiology/Skin Care. The Vanity Makeup Studio offers specialized programs suited specifically to aspiring Makeup Artists.

Can you get jobs in makeup after the class? How far you go after the class depends solely on you. It’s a great thing to put on a resume’ or application!

Tell me more about your apprenticeship program. The Vanity’s apprenticeship opportunities are open to anyone that has taken The Make-Up Artist in Training course. If you are ready and well prepared, you will be given the opportunity to shadow Noel Dalton on a variety of job experiences, including weddings and photo shoots.
