The Makeup Artist Makes Stuff: DIADEMAGLORIAM
So if you know me, you know I am a lover of all things that shimmer and shine. Throughout my career in makeup, I’ve dabbled in other creative pursuits from making my own lip balm to crafting custom headpieces for styled shoots. Hair has always inspired me, but it’s hair ornamentation that I’m a bit obsessed with. To me, there’s nothing better than that final touch that really makes the look. Out of my obsession has grown a new creative project; DIADEMAGLORIAM.
DIADEMA is obviously the Latin term for a crown or head ornamentation for a royal coronation. GLORIAM is the latin term for Glory. Crowning Glory.
My pieces are made with tons of heart and soul, each one taking 3+ hours to complete. I love seeing them come to life; then enjoyed by models, brides, family and friends. I have decided to target the bridal/alternative wedding market with them, simply because each crown is so special and too beautiful not to wear on anything but the most special of days. However, most people that put one on want to wear it everyday, which I’m ALL FOR! Life should be celebrated each minute and you should always wear a crown <3
My gorgeous sweet friend Teresa Romero graciously asked me to accessorize her models with my pieces for New Mexico Fashion Week this past May. She is an incredible fashion designer and stylist. My goal is to break into the high fashion market, and get my crowns seen worldwide. To check out the styles currently for sale, click here.
